Deadlines and planetariums.

Just a quick one this week because we are in the grips of Full-on Deadline Frantic-ness. Less than 4 weeks before the mag hits the streets; this is our busiest time each quarter; reading, writing, gathering, editing, proofing, filing, finishing, organising, deleting, designing, squeezing stuff in, losing, searching and finding, setting, replying, amending, correcting, ringing and odd bouts of hysterical singing! Of course we always get there in the end but sometimes it feels a little bit roller-coaster-y.

Darryl, Samantha and I (Beccy) had a fun break from it all on Tuesday though. Our Out! page this issue required a review of Bristol Planetarium (intrigued?). So off we popped, as At-Bristol, where the planetarium is housed, is just a 10-minute stroll down into town from The Spark office. I won’t spoil it by telling you now, apart from to say it was ace – recommended whatever your age – and the ticket includes entry to the whole of At-Bristol so we got to play with the science exhibits too.

The thermal imaging gadget makes us look like bank robbers somehow..

Who says people who work at The Spark are fluffy?

Samantha and I enjoy a game of virtual volley ball. Yes, really, that IS what we're doing!

The planetarium is a giant disco ball in Bristol's Millenium Square. That's the 3 of us reflected in the middle panel.
