Be Part of the Spark's Great News Story

The Spark magazine is now back in print, in collaboration with B24/7 magazine: the essential, monthly events and culture guide for Bristol.

The Spark's upbeat editorial has always supported people taking life into their own hands through their health, personal, community and green choices. B24/7 adds a vibrant, new readership to many thousands of loyal Spark readers in Bristol.

B24/7 was created by a group of independent publishers as a CIC (Community Interest Company) to benefit Bristol, so it is an ideal match for The Spark. It's independent editorial style is proving a great success with educated, culturally active people of all ages interested in their city and their world.

Regular Quarterly Spark

The full Spark magazine will publish every three months - distributed with B24/7 to reduce costs - as well as extra copies to reach key traditional Spark sites such as complementary clinics and whole food shops, community centres and markets.

Putting The Spark into B24/7

For the months between quarterly magazines, a branded Spark section in B24/7 covers local green and health news, services and products.

Distribution

A print-run of 20,000 free copies will be distributed via supermarkets, community centres, venues and independent outlets across Bristol - giving an estimated readership of 70,000.

The village of Carhampton, near Watchet, is famous for its Wassailing celebrations. Wassailing usually takes place the second weekend of January in the orchard of the Butchers Arms, preceded by a smaller event in the Community Orchard in the centre of the village: villagers from a circle around the largest apple tree, hang pieces of toast soaked in cider in the branches for the spirit of the tree before a shotgun is fired overhead to scare away evil spirits.
