This week we tasted Three Ginger, Detox and Love.
Tasting panel: Kristina, Will, Beccy, Anne, Vicki & Darryl.
Organic aniseed, fennel and cardamom tea: ‘to cleanse and revive’ – and that it did!
This one was a sure favourite in the office - scoring more points than its two competitors (reviewed below). Its predominant liquorice ‘back-note’ was described as savoury-like with a refreshing and ‘lovely sweet’ quality. The taste out-does the smell, apparently; all the more reason to try it then, really! |
Organic rose, chamomile and lavender tea: ‘to warm your heart’
A phrase to sum-up this cup of floral loveliness could well be ‘hug in a mug’. The non-tea drinker amongst us says there's a slight whiff of ‘mouldy pond-weed’ – but flavour-wise its a different matter. A detectable hint of fennel coupled with honey and the distinctly rounded flavours of chamomile & vanilla comes with every warming sip. Yum!

Organic ginger, galangal and golden turmeric tea: ‘to uplift and warm’
‘Pine shower gel’, ‘mushrooms’ and ‘incense’ aren’t typically words used to describe herbal teas but today they were! Although one opinion likened the flavour to ‘Chinese chip shop curry’, don’t be put off. If it’s an edgy peppery ‘kick’ you’re after then this could be the brew for you! |
